President
Brandon Chelstrom Year: Senior Major: Biomedical Engineering & Neurobiology w/ Computer Science Certificate Favorite Race: 200 Free & 500 Free Bio: This year will mark my 12th consecutive year of swimming and 10th year of competitive swimming. I had actually planned on switching to casual swimming after high school, but I decided to check the club out and I was hooked after the first practice! The atmosphere and the variety of people on the club makes it more fulfilling and exciting team compared to the other teams I have been a part of. I will be going into my fourth season on the club and my third consecutive year on the officer board. The first two years were as the practice coordinator, where I helped to develop the position in its first year of creation! Outside of swimming you can find me lifting, training for an Iron Man, or at SAE Baja working on building a single seat off road vehicle. |

Cole Bell Year: Junior Major: Political Science & Pre-Dentistry Favorite Race: 100 Breast & 100 IM Bio: Hi, I am Cole and will be the Vice President this school year. This is my third year at UW and my third year on SCUW. Similar to most, I was a competitive swimmer all my life and joined the Swim Club right as I came to campus. I found a great home where I was able to keep up my love for swimming and meet some amazing friends along the way. Outside of SCUW, I love all things sports, but especially love soccer. I also love to travel and try new and exciting foods and activities. So excited for the upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet everyone! |

I will be returning this year for my second year as competition chair for the swim club, and I am more than excited about the opportunity to plan meets for this upcoming school year. I am grateful for the friends and opportunities I have gained through SCUW and it has easily been on of the best decisions I made in my time here at UW! |

Sarah Dehnel Year: Sophomore Major: Communication Sciences and Disorders Favorite Race: 500 Free Bio: This will be my second year on Swim Club, my first year on the officer board! I am from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and started swimming competitively there when I was 12 years old. When I’m not swimming, you can find me lifeguarding at the Nick, running or biking on the lakeshore trail, or at Memorial Union. Even though I joined the club in an online year, I was amazed by the number of friends I made and the fun I had through the club. I am so excited to see what we can do as a club with fewer restrictions! |
Marketing Chair
Madeleine Freitag Year: Senior Major: Fine Arts & Entrepreneurship Favorite Race: 50 Free Bio: Joining Swim Club UW has by far been the best decision I've made here at UW! The people are amazing, the events are always top-notch, and it's the best way to stay active while making tons of new friends. I didn't start swimming until my Junior year of highschool, but the club welcomed me in and made it an extremely easy transition. When I'm not swimming, you can find me working as a lifeguard at the Natatorium, shooting photos, baking, cooking, and running. I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with my focus being Graphic Design as well as a certificate in Entrepreneurship. |
